Tianyang Chen

About Me

I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, advised by Prof. Zhambyl Shaikhanov. Before that, I received my B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC), where I worked with Prof. Terry Tao Ye. I also spent a semester as an exchange student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and a summer as a research intern at the University of Notre Dame, working with Prof. Patrick Fay.

Research Interests

My research focuses on mm-Wave to sub-THz wireless, with an emphasis on enabling new sensing and communication capabilities with ubiquitous RF hardware.
